Just a classic, Alien looking thing this time, with some flat surfaces going here and there and extremely humanoid-- cept no ears. I just did this super quick for the day to not lose the grip!. Also, donkus is a term for loser, but people on the internet use it for other purposes... then again, no matter what people say, every single damn word means something sexual now days. X<

Tormentor
The tormentor's face! and spiky horn like... whatever those are. This one's kinda old. I'm a little uninspired but getting somewhere with other sketches. =p

Fat Cylops
This is one ugly sucker. I added some asymmetry to the tongue, lips and-- that's about it. Also, a weird skin texture and weird ... balls of flesh randomly to make it look more disgusting.

Morana The Pirate
Also known as Morana the Cruel, Morana the Torturer, Morana the Despised, and Morana the Unholy. It's a "long sketch" since I just made a rough version and textured it-- just like my Meow Effect Cat!. I know I know, hair etc, but it's a Zbrush sketch, we can't use alphas and I don't know how to do the Zbrush hair stuff =p.
Also, I know I know, I'm still modeling stuff that somehow looks toony, but I like it. I promise I'll practice more realistic stuff, but it's hard for me =p

250 5%
250 lbs, 5% body fat! Yeah! Going for a The Rock or Terry Crews build here for this quick body sketch. This is how a guy should look? I think it's a little too out there, but close, no? =p

Potion Bottle
Currently away at the beach so I wanted to post another finished sculpt. Potion bottle I did a few months back
Making a Rock Texture Using ZBrush...
Hi guys! So I threw this together for anyone that's interested. This lil' tut demonstrates how I go about making tile-able textures using ZBrush. This process starts with making the normal map, which make texturing the diffuse and spec maps that much easier. Enjoy! :)
Remember, if you have any questions about the process just ask. I'll do my best to answer what I know.

Twisted
You were right Kenny, It does look a lot better with a quick twist on the horns. Funny thing I kept looking at those horns and thinking they looked like a rattlesnake tail. Its one of those things where it bothered me, but not enough that I took a minute to resolve it. Im always talking to students about that same thing.
stopped at 1hour
I'm a bit embarrassed this took me an hour to make. I'm looking to have a suitable skull to speedup my bust to head sculpting process with some underlying bone structure. This will more than likely be a constantly evolving model. Critiques are greatly anticipated!

Kerunno
Kernunno! because I noticed that this blog has very dangerously low levels of Kaiju, so I decided to fix that. I don't know how much I spent on this? hour and a half or so? I kept spinning on my chair and watching survivor man on TV. Anyway, some Kaiju badassery was required. Enjoy!

SpeedSculpt 01 : LOTR
Hey guys! I'm seeing some cool stuff on this blog. My friend Corey and I will be doing the occasional 1 hour speed sculpts during our lunch breaks and posting them here. Today we chose Lord of the Rings for the theme.
We're both in the game industry so if anyone has any questions, feel free to email me directly!

Environment Art using ZBrush
Hey guys! I noticed that there is quite a bit of character art going on in here. Here is some ZBrush environment work I did a while back for your viewing pleasure. I picked up some pretty cool techniques for making these tileable textures from a friend and co-worker while I was at BioWare... Enjoy. :D
Commander Shepard
This is not a sketch cause it took longer than a couple of hours but it's not a completed work cause it only took some hours to finish =p
This is based on Mass Effect, of course, and it's supposed to be a cat version of Commander Shepard. Saving the world after a nap, of course. Meow Effect.

Its been a while
I haven't touched zbrush in several months but managed to bang this out today after trying to remember all the hotkeys. Hopefully I'll keep this up and have more to share in the future.
The Incredible, Stylized, Morphing Face!
I wanted to make something with attitude and lots of mood, so I sculpted this guy's angry face and, of course, took a stylized direction, like a comic book!
Want to know why this is the incredible, stylized, morphing face? Well, if I stretch his ears and make them pointy, and add some lines on the chin... he becomes the Super Skrull! but!... but... if I stretch the ears again, but instead of putting lines on the chin I give him a funny, pointy hat... he becomes the Green Goblin!

Zketch = Awesome
Attention artists! I'd like to welcome again the starting community of Zketch. We expect this community to grow more in the next few weeks, which should be pretty amusing.
Let's take this opportunity to post some ideas behind Zketch, what it stands for and we hope to accomplish. It's pretty simple really, in fact, there's not much to talk about, but we should post here!
First, Zketch is an area for artists to have fun and post their quick sketches in Zbrush. Ideally, it'd be a place to post our daily warm ups (cause ... we are Zbrush artists, we do that stuff) for others to see and critique! That's not to say we can't post more than that. No. We can post anything Zbrush here, even completed works.
Got a tutorial you'd like to share with the world? Go for it. How about a speed sculpting? You got it. Hey, you can draw? Want to draw some sketches that other people could take as a challenge to do a quick sculpt video? Do eet! It's all about fun and love for art. Your level skill? Doesn't matter. Your burning passion for the wacom pen and fake, virtual clay is what brings us all here.
Make sure to be active! let's make this a lively community and a friendly one too. Comment on people's work, throw your 2 cents! the more 2 cents we collect, the better. 2 cents at the time will get us thousands of money later on! (metaphorically speaking) Enjoy yourselves.
Lastly, go ahead and take a minute to introduce yourself here if you'd like. Post a little something something about you, like your name or nickname! what kind of art style you like, your goals, too! what sort of games/movies you enjoy the most! what's your favorite zbrush brush? what kind of pizza do you like the most? What's your pant's size? stuff like that!
Give it a go! most of us don't bite! we're starving artists, not cannibals =p
