Baverstam: Making of a God Pt 2
We've reached part 2 of this adventure. Anyone getting excited out there? Anyone read these comments? I mean, I know some people watch the art, but read the comments? Ah, whatever, I like typing =v
Part 2 of Baverstam: Making of a God!
Body. A god must have a killer body. Why? Because! free time. A god must have a lot of free time so they can hit the gym and get those barbell curls going-- no, seriously now, since the beginning of art, the body of the male adonis has been reason of admiration, inspiration and the goal of male beauty. A god, however, doesn't need to work our as stated above by my joke, since they, being all mighty or have incredible power, can just *be* the shape they desire, and we all know the desired shape would be a ripped one. I'm sorry, Buddah, but gods like to be in shape-- actually, the Buddah is wrongly branded as a god by the non-buddihsts to simplify the definition of the Buddah, who is actually a role model of living in an "perfect form", not really a god but I digress!
Stick around for part 3! If you think there's some details missing you're right! Just like the head, this one is missing things! but everything will fall in place as the project continues.

Baverstam: Making of a God Pt 1
Hey peeps! I'm starting on a "big" project. More than a sketch, a bunch of sketches put together! so I've decided to begin with a cool, simple project of a demon (not a lot of anatomy books on demon design =p).
Baverstam: Making of a God Pt 1 is the beginning of a 5 parts mega sketch. In part 1, I tackled the head. As you can see, there's some parts that aren't finished yet but I'll get to that later. The head of a god is complicated (especially of a wicked god), for it has to be the focal point of the entire body and show more story than everything else. I did follow concepts, but there's some hidden design brilliancy that can't be easily translated from 2D to 3D. It was tough to twist those horns, in fact, I had to twist them in maya. The teeth also come from maya, the basic shape that I took and then individually pushed and pulled. I'm not liking the eyes still, the flesh wrapping around them is too thick. I'll get back to it and do stuff. Also, ears are hard!
